Whether you're new to the world of press on nails or a seasoned pro, this page will provide you with all the essential information you need to know about prep, application, removal, and helpful tips. We'll also give you a breakdown of what's included in our press on nail sets and explain how you can place a custom order to get the perfect nails for any occasion.

Prep

Before applying press on nails, it's important to properly prepare your natural nails. Start by removing any existing nail polish, wash and completely dry your hands. Push back your cuticles. Next, trim and use a nail file to shape your nails to your desired length and shape. This step ensures a smooth surface for the press on nails to adhere to. Buff your nails beds gently just until surface is dull. Dust off nails with spooly brush and cleanse nail bed with alcohol wipe.

Application

When it comes to applying press on nails, it's crucial to follow the correct steps for long-lasting results. Begin by selecting the appropriate nail size for each finger and lay out in order from pinky to thumb on a clean surface. Be sure to size both hands, no two nails are the same. Start with the pinky finger of your dominate hand for smoother applicaton. Apply a small amount of nail glue to the back of the press on nail and press it firmly onto your natural nail, starting from the cuticle and pressing down towards the tip. Hold it in place for a 30 seconds to allow the glue to bond. Repeat this process for all your nails.

Removal

Removing press on nails is a breeze if done correctly. To avoid damaging your natural nails, it's important to be gentle during the removal process. Start by soaking your nails in warm, soapy water for a few minutes to loosen the adhesive. Work cuticle oil around the nail. Gently lift the press on nails from the sides using a cuticle pusher or a wooden stick until it lifts off gently.  Do not force nails off or remove nails in less than 10 days after applying. If there is any residue left on your nails, use a nail polish remover to clean it off. Do not use alcohol or acetone(fingernail polish remover). These along with other harsh chemicals will act as solvents and ruin your nails.  A sanding stick is provided to remove excess glue from press on if needed. Do not use sanding stick on your natural nail!

Helpful Tips

Here are some helpful tips to ensure the best results with your press on nails:

  • Apply a thin layer of nail glue to avoid excess glue seeping out from the sides. Clean up excess glue with swaps or cuticle stick before glue dries.
  • Press down firmly on the press on nails to ensure a secure bond.
  • Avoid exposing your press on nails to excessive moisture, as it can weaken the adhesive for at least an hour after applying.
